ever since watching curb i find myself in so many of what i call, 'larry situations' and i find myself thinking in 'larryisms' like for example the other day while getting a pedicure...the lady kept wiping her nose off with her hand...and then rubbing my foot. if i were larry i would have made a scene.

Sunday Nights Finale Had me Dying!
This season was great. I had to say it was hard to see Larry go through the break up with Cheryl. But brining The Blacks to the Bat Mitzvah was great. Especially the Gerbil in his ass and the tickle in my anus. Fast forward Larry is with the Blacks Mother. It was the hilarious ending especially when Suzie as usual was yelling at larry. Any thoughts.

the new season?
unfortunately I don't have HBO anymore so I'm missing out, but nobody's making any comments or quoting any clever one-liners about this new season so far.. is it not that good?
I have to admit, when I read about the general storyline of the season, it sounded pretty disappointing. but I read about last week's episode with Cheryl in the airplane and something like that and that sounded funny. but what are people's opinions on the season so far?

larry david single??

June 5, 2007 -- THE inconvenient truth for Laurie and Larry David is that their marriage is over. The couple has separated after 14 years and two kids. Laurie - a liberal die-hard who produced "An Inconvenient Truth" and recently toured with Sheryl Crow to promote global warming - was starting to overshadow her husband, the co-creator of "Seinfeld" and star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The official word is the split is very amicable, and no other parties are involved.

More Curb On the Cards
Quote, More Curb On the Cards

The genius that is Curb Your Enthusiasm is tipped to return for a sixth season.

This piece of comedy news has emerged at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where Curb executive producer Jeff Garlin suggested Larry might return once more.

Garlin, who also plays David's manager in the series, was speaking to Digital Spy website at the premiere of new movie I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With. He confirmed that Larry was writing new episodes and that it was "looking good" for another season.

"I hope (it comes back)," he said. "It looks good, but I don't know for sure...whether Larry wants to do it or not. He's writing them (the episodes) now. We'll see. It's looking good."

David's hesitancy to make a new series has been publically expressed previously, but perhaps this will put to bed such an idea.

Admittedly the fourth series wasn't particularly strong, but the return to form of the fifth season suggests that there is still plenty of mileage in David's head yet!
, End Quote.

question for people making the icons
what software or hardware do you use to capture stuff from TV to computer? there's a bunch of stuff I'd like to make icons from and I've tried like 3-4 different programs for this, and the picture quality is so bad it's not even worth it.
I haven't done any in like 5 years so I'm assuming the technology is better now, so what's a good program to use?

NY Times
"Larry David had one request when The New York Times invited him to contribute op-eds: that he could attend an editorial board meeting.  Strangely, when the 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' star sat in on the conclave, a source tells us, 'All he did was ask the board members what they thought of his scarf. They couldn't figure him out.'"

He seems to have written two so far:

"Notes From the Underground"
June 5, 2005, Sunday - Late Edition - Final, Section 4, Page 14, Column 2, 863 words
Can be read in full here or here

"Cowboys Are My Weakness"
January 1, 2006, Sunday - Late Edition - Final, Section 4, Page 9, Column 1, 573 words
I'm sure we've all seen that one!

EDIT: See comments for others.

restaurant grand opening episode (and season 3 in general)
in having a season 3 marathon a few days ago, I noticed something for the first time that kinda confused me. in the grand opening episode, why are the waiters all wearing Larry's military shirt outfit when everyone was so dead-set against it? what happened to Jeff's vest idea? did I miss something in some of the previous episodes?

general rant on something completely trivialCollapse )

Great interview with Larry
Hey everyone I found a great page that people go to and watch an New York Times Arts and Leisure Weekend interview earlier this month. Larry even says he is leaning towards coming back for a 6th season.

Enjoy all,
